Recap Week 16

The results posted are for cards that we have. There appear to be some missing cards, or cards not turned in for players who signed in. There was a lot happening at the bar last night with some non-SIGL paperwork at the corner of the bar, and some of our cards may have been mistakenly scooped up by someone.  If you ACTUALLY turned in a card and have results that would affect the posted results, please let us know. Honor system please. This does not apply to any group that failed to submit a card, as has been happening lately. Groups that signed in but for which we don't have cards are DeSaro, etc. etc.
Aronson, Nolan, etc., Bradley, Karas, etc.  If you submitted a card, please e-mail us your results.

For the scores that we do have, there weren't many good ones, except for the Marshall Poverman Band. Marshall and Don Dillon had paying birdies, Jim Thompson snagged closest to the pin, and Peter Jaffe played well. The MacNeil boys, John and Ed, were paired up and pulled off team honors, while Scott Silvia took individual. All posted winners will be paid. The rest of us must be losing steam or something, because conditions were good, and yet there were only a handful of players over their quota.

We have only a handful of guys who have been shut out on the money list thus far this year. Those names will form the pool for the random picks of alternates for the remaining weeks of the season. But even if you don't wiin anything during the regular season, there is always the chance of a nice payday at the year-end tourney. We've had times when someone didn't win a dime all year, and then won over 200 clams at the  year-end.

Easton C.C. had their club championship this past weekend with many SIGL members participating, although none of us prevailed in our respective divisions. A shout out goes out, though, to past and present SIGLers Bob Frick, Dave Peters, and Rich McKenna of the Easton tournnament committee for putting on another great event.
