Recap Week 1

I'd like to welcome everyone back for another fun-filled year of SIGL golf. We have some new and a few old members that rejoined the league. The winter is finally behind us and what a great day it was to start off, as we all know the first few week are a crap shoot weather wise. I walk in to the bar from playing 18 and looked at the table where our fearless leader was sitting and think that George Costanza was in the house, a wallet packed with checks and cash was on the table and there was no chance of closing it without the gorilla from the Samsonite commercial to jump on it. A thank you to everyone that came with the league dues.
The first week came with a near hole in one on the 4th hole from Peter Jaffe, one more revolution was all that was needed he calmly or not tapped in for the bird.
A quick break in the recap with breaking news. Ippolito pars a hole...........now back to the recap.
A one time money champ Mr. Tibbetts is back and how the mighty have fallen, a woeful first night and to his credit he didn't use any excuses.
Bamford played every hole but the one he was on, it didn't bother his playing partner Thompson who went on to take week 1 top honors.
The league has grown which means the birdie pool has too. Each week $84 is up for grabs. We must be doing something right as we now have to turn down people who have heard about the league and want in. We are at the max.

Rick Green

In memory of Rick who passed away in a boating accident in Florida. He was quite a character and will be missed. Condolences go out to his family and freinds.
