Recap Week 7

They use to say they were going to Tiger proof the golf course and Easton has gone ahead and Ippolito proof the course. The guy shows up early and is ready to go with visions of having a great day only to have his hopes shattered as the tee boxes have not been to his liking and the points are hard to come by. He gave up after 13 to head on in to talk about what just happened at the 19th hole. I just found out that Frank Larosa is blind in one eye, I'm going to have to get me a patch to wear and see if that helps my putting. The MacNeils traded off birding the ever so tough 7th hole with John doing it this week. Welcome back Murph, as the surgery was a success and now has a bionic arm. He performed the 12 ounce curl with perfection. The first time I played with Bradley I said he has a Pedroia swing, he and Lyons never get cheated. Bamford was sitting at the bar watching the tumble weeds go by. Thompson hurry up and get better. One more welcome back goes to Don Dillion who has been battling some health issues.

Recap Week 6

I guess we have a lot of fair weather golfers in the league. I have learned not to listen the weather forecasters as more times than not they are wrong, as was the case on Tuesday. I told you in a previous post if your not sure call the course. Scott Bamford was a lock to win some money this week as he was paired with almost everyone who played due to being an alternate. I enjoyed playing with Dave Peters and his little sky caddie, it definitely helped knowing the distance to the pin, now executing the shot was a different story. I'd like to welcome Mike Barry to the league, he is filling in for the injured Brian Murphy who is due back any week now and that's when dad says son you have to go. We have hit week 7 and it almost time to start planning for the midyear tournament. Details will come in the following weeks. I want to thank our friendly neighborhood bartender OBO for staying open for the faithful who showed up, most would have locked up and gone home.

Recap Week 5

Who the? What the? Who moved the tees back. Ah yes, we are now playing from the blue tees, on some holes it didn't make a difference but on the first hole you had better take cover on the porch for the wayward drives. The pin placements were a bit tricky and if you found yourself above the hole you were in trouble. John MacNeil had no trouble as he had the round of the week and collected top honors with a sizzling 77 for 18 holes. Stephanick wanted to make sure he got some winnings so he birdied 8 and 9, with a 4 footer on 9 to get closest to the pin. Scott Bamford is running out of players to play with as Thompson is going on the DL. Bamford was found drowning his sorrows with our friendly neiboorhood bartender. He picked a fine time to quit smoking.
