Recap Week 7

While Bino was refining his golf game on the sylvan links of Stow Acres, the rest of us were again holding our breath when a hailstorm unloaded on us early. But skies cleared and we were good to go. The salty curmudgeon Billy Karas had a fine night and took Individual. Frank LaRosa was a Team winner and had the round of the night with 15 pars and 3 bogies for a 74. Rich McKenna is just getting into midseason form with a second straight CTP and a paying birdie. Watch this name to steadily move up the leader board. Nice to see Paul Raynard and Greg Willard have birdies that lived. The 8th hole was TKOed. Next week's CTP is the 4th Hole. In another few weeks, we will begin the match play tourney. To make scheduling easier, you will be partnered with one of your regular playing partners and in the first round play the other two in your regular group. We will provide more details later.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to long time SIGLer and all-around good guy Jerry Berke who is recuperating from a recent mishap that resulted in a broken hip and leg. Get well soon Jerry, and drop by when you are able.

I'm back from the woods of Stow as I set out on a 3 day lesson with 1 to go to try and find my game. I get to play in the rain on Thursday with the pro, this is what I was looking for. Show me how to hit the frigging ball in the rain. God knows I had enough practice with no luck at Easton. Time will tell if this helps me.
See ya next Tuesday.
