      WEEK 13 CTP:    4TH HOLE

We continue our fine midseason play with many outstanding scores, and only 19 players coming in below quota.

Every few weeks, this humble hacker finds his way out of the rut of mediocrity, and posts a good score. This was the week, and so my  +8 turned out to be, as they say at the horse track,  "much the best" for the Individual prize.  I happened to be paired with TJ, who had a fine +3, so SIGL management will share the Team honor at +11.

Bill Doonan went out early and crafted  a fine 10'6" shot into the 2nd hole, and despite many other game attempts, Big Bill's held up all day, so he will humbly accept the CTP cash.

We have been on quite a birdie run of late, and this week that means that another 14 attempts found the hole for bird. In recent weeks, the 9th hole has given up any semblance of respectability, and this week allowed another six subpar scores. The 3rd hole was covered, as was 8. Left to share the pool was this hacker on 2, John Hrenko on 4, and for the second week in a row Paul McDermott will receive an envelope for his birdie on the 5th hole.

In addition to those who have won some cash, there were many other fine performances. Notables include Ed Finn at +6, Chris Sullivan and Jim Hzurd at +4, Dawn Weber at +3, and Keating, Tracy, Raynard, Szczurko, Begley, Burke, Lozzi, and Loring (who had a 76 for the night), all at +2.

  See next Tuesday.
