We've finally gotten some good golf weather and when the the greens starting coming back, then we'll be cooking with gas.

Another substandard collective performance for SIGL on Tuesday. Eliminating lack of skill as a possible source of the problem, we'll blame the greens. Only three birdies were bagged for the night and only a handful of golfers exceeded quota again. For the year, we have played over 1,000 holes of golf and we have a total of seven birdies. Maybe lack of skill does have something to do with it.

As always, there are exceptions to every rule, so we had a few standouts. Pride of Taunton Len Lima snagged Individual at +4. Quiet Irishman Paul McDermott (yeah there is such a thing) at +4 paired up with affable Brit Terry Moore at +4 to take Team honors at +8.  Terry got the benefit of being a replacement for a player who would have been on the winning team but because he has not paid dues yet, is ineligible for prize money. The not so quiet Johnny MacNeil will cash for CTP on 2 at 18'0".  Frank La Rosa was again high-pointer, this time with 15.

As noted, there were only three birdies for the night. Ryan Burke cashed on 4, Paul McDermott on 6, and sweet-swinging Lou Silva on 9. Each will be rewarded with $40.

And finally, for the few of you who remain unpaid, if you have not paid by the end of the night next Tuesday, you will be dropped from the league. No excuses will be accepted, except of course, "My dog ate my checkbook."

       See you next Tuesday.

Don't make us unleash the dreaded SIGL Collections Staff on you.
