For such good conditions, there were not a lot of good scores. One notable exception though, was Jay Chapman, who had a career round at +8, and earned Team and Individual honors. John Tracy chose his partner wisely to ride shotgun to garner some Team cash. And this humble hacker was counting his Closest to Pin money, but Steve DaSaro had other ideas and stuck one even closer at 6' 6" on 4 to take the cake. Other notable rounds were turned in by Dana Willard with a +5 and T.J. who had a league-high 15 points.
We had only seven birdies, four of which survived. Bob Frick's third shot on 2 hung on the back edge of the cup but would not fall, so he had to "settle" for a bird. Mike Kelly cashed on 3, Paul Raynard on 4, and Rick Walsh continues his improved play and collected on 5. The 9th hole was smashed.
Due to heat-related mental fatigue and early-onset senility, this humble administrator forgot to put out the Macanudo box, so in addition to this week's wieners, there are still envelopes for Paul McDermott, Dave Naimo, and Terry Moore.
And finally, if you're in the market for a new house, I've got just the deal for you right down the street from me: Sprawling 8,000 sq. ft. crib in posh North Attleborough neighborhood. Carpets recently cleaned, although home surveillance system in need of repair. Secret closest for illegal gun stash. Current owner in the process of downsizing. All reasonable offers considered.
See you next Tuesday.
