This week was a little below average with 24 not making the grade, 7 hitting their mark on the button, and 21 exceeding quota, with only six players better than +2.

Dylan Amaral popped for a season best 39, good for 15 points, and a +6, good for 1st Individual.

We had a three-way tie at +4 for 2nd Individual between Greg Paone, Jim Shannon, and Brian Murphy. And Mr. Paone's birdie on 5 will settle the matter.

Dylan (+6) drew a good partner in the the steady Mike Silva, who threw in a respectable +1 to contribute to 1st Team honors.

Jim Shannon (+4) lost out on the 2nd Ind. card-off, but will cash in for 2nd Team with the always dependable Mike McNeice who came in at Even, for a team +4.

Ed Finn bent one in toward the hole on 4, and his 6'4" was not seriously challenged the rest of the day for a CTP reward.

For whatever reason the putts were not dropping as an anemic five birdies bids found the hole on the front, on only three holes. When the dust cleared the only live skin was that of Dan Svirsky on 6, and Dan will take the whole pot. The only other birdies were Paone and Wall on 5, and Paone and J. Shannon on the 9th.

We had the largest Backnine skins pool of the year with 30 entrants, and there were eight contender birdies. But as on the front, only one stood above the rest, and that would be Chris Regan's 3 on the 18th hole. And so Chris can look forward to collecting his $150 envelope next week. Smashed holes were 11 (Bourne, Thompson), 12 (Babyak, Regan) and 13 (Doonan, J. Shannon, Regan).

As noted, there were only six players who exceeded +2 this week, and three were rewarded with cash. The tough luckers who did not were Brian Murphy at +4 and Terry Thompson and Dan Szczurko at +3. Highpointer was Greg Paone with 19 points.

And finally, there will be some covid policy restrictions pertaining to the year-end banquet. The dinner line will be inside, but our tables will be on the patio outside the function room. Tables will be spread out and there will be only four persons at each table. Easton requires table assignments and that the assignment is based on who you play with. (Whoever you play with, you sit with.) This year, we will make every effort to pair you up with golfers that you typically play with during the season. However, since each group must have an A, B, C, and D player, there are limitations to this.

And don't forget: If you will not be playing, you must let us know now.

   See you next Tuesday.
