So, where were we? Hard to believe but we have only two weeks left to play. And that means that it's almost time for the year-end tourney. It will be held on Sunday, Oct 4th at 8:30 AM with tee times followed by an outdoor (the function room patio with tent) banquet. Next week there will be a sheet that everyone must sign. Next to your name write IN or OUT. No MAYBES and if it remains blank after Week 20, then you will not be in the tourney.

We had a weak turnout Tuesday with 11 no-shows. Scores were right around the norm with 24 players above quota, 7 on the mark, and 19 below their number.

Mike Leonard continues his outstanding play and had a season-high 14 points good for +6 and 1st Individual. Dylan Amaral also had his season high 14 points, resulting in a +5 and 2nd Individual in a card-off win over Peter Frasca's fine +5.

Andy Pryles had another outstanding night at +4 and was paired with the always steady Steve Lozzi who chipped in with a +3 to take 1st Team at +7.

Mike Leonard's 1st Individual +6 was partnered with an Even from Chris Regan to earn 2nd Team honors at +6.

Mr. Regan was looking good all day for Closest to Pin on the 2nd hole, but late in the day Greg Willard snuck one in to 3'10".

The greens were not rolling and there was a measly eight birdies on the front side, and half will get rewarded. Chris Regan birdied the 2nd, Bob Loring on 6, Dan Szczurko had a 3 on the 7th, and surprisingly, Andy Pryles had the only bird on 9. The 5th (Thompson, Frasca), and the 8th (Lozzi, Finn) were covered.

The was a season-high $140 in the backnine skins pool and there were twice as many birdies on the back as there were on the front. Survivors were Terry Thompson on 10, Bob Bourne on 11, Rich White-15, and Ned Babyak on the 17th. Covered: 12: Hrenko, J. Shannon, 13: Leonard, Svirsky, White, McNeice, Thompson, Doonan, 14: J. MacNeil, Svirsky, Doonan, and 18: Frasca, McDermott.

Players with outstanding nights who did not cash: Frasca +5, Silvia, D. Willard, Bradley at +4, and Finn and Meyer at +3. Highpointer was Steve Lozzi with 17.

And finally, The Dirty Dozen wants to say thanks to all of you who expressed your concern the past few weeks over our recent unfortunate travails.

  See you next Tuesday.
